ShaTerri “Royalty” Dotson is a Mississippi native, born and raised with the values of the South. She served time in prison between the tender ages of 16 and 26, where she began a ministry that captivated the likes of over 60 women on the inside and created recurring study circles for women. Losing everything, including her child, Royalty began to reshape her worldviews. She began identifying cycles of repression, trauma, self-doubt, codependency, and the like. Armed with this new realization, she set out to break cycles of generational patterns surrounding the wombs of women. This led her to rebuild her own immediate family dynamic void of the toxicities of her past.
This journey set Royalty on the road with her dear friend and mentor LaTonya Baker, founder and CEO of G.O.E. (Generations of Excellence). Royalty landed in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with a purpose, a story to tell, and a heart to change the perpetual oppressive cycles of mass incarceration among families, beginning with women.
Royalty understood that it would take a courageous step on her behalf, to bring into plain view her vision for this new world of healed or healing wombs. This ideology gave birth to her nonprofit, My Sisters Reunited. The organization has secured a property, calling it “The Royal Return Reentry Palace,” a mission geared towards women returning home from incarceration, ensuring that they begin their journeys with great substance. This around the clock wraparound wellness and healing environment will be focused on healing the wombs of women holistically.
Royalty has also recently enrolled in college to further her education in leadership and development.
