JustLeadershipUSA President and CEO DeAnna Hoskins recently spoke at the Academic and Health Policy Conference on Correctional Health, held in Raleigh, NC, and hosted by the Academic Consortium on Criminal Justice Health (ACCJH) and supported by UMass Chan Medical School.
This is “an annual peer-reviewed conference that highlights emerging research and policy across the justice field and supports the ACCJH’s mission to improve evidence-based practices and policies to improve the health of justice-involved populations. It is an interdisciplinary conference bringing together researchers, clinicians, public health experts, and policymakers to meet this objective.”
As Hoskins told participants there: “Don’t see us as the problem you’re trying to solve. See us as the solution.”
